Director
Dr Sarah Lewis
Dr Sarah Lewis has a wealth of experience and knowledge working closely within English prisons for over 16 years. Carrying out her doctoral studies on therapeutic correctional relationships. She feels passionate about promoting humanistic principles in practice.
Head of People/Treasurer
Carianne Burr
Carianne leads our School Growth Project work. She is a consultant and our programme facilitator. She is passionate about supporting people and working collaboratively with others to enable change. She is a great team player and has a wonderful ability to motivate others.
Senior Consultant/Secretary
Dan Reynolds
Dan has a wealth of experience and knowledge working for HMPPS in prisons for 7 years, as a prison officer and a conflict resolution practitioner in the youth estate. Before moving to the adult estate to become a rehabilitative culture and equalities lead.
Senior Digital Consultant
Kam Stevens
Kam works with GTB as a digital consultant in penal reform. He has lived experience of prison and uses this knowledge and experience to create digital work to promote personal growth, raising awareness of the key issues that exist within the prison service. Kam is currently at University studying film production and a Longford Trust scholar.
NON-EXEC DIRECTOR & VOLUNTEER
Steven Penson
40+ years’ experience working in the commercial business sector. Steve started his working career as an automotive technician has gone on to work for blue-chip companies, rising to director level. Steve is a volunteer using his business and people development skills to help reduce reoffending with men leaving HMP Guys Marsh. Young Enterprise – working with young adults to prevent them getting into crime and Sported UK volunteering to support the business side of sporting clubs who work in their local communities.

Justine
Justine previously worked at a prisoner’s charity for 6 years before joining the PRS team in February 2022 as a Consultant and now works for GTB as well, to support the GTB mission. She is a MSc Criminology and Criminal Psychology graduate, that is passionate about rehabilitation and supporting reintegration back into the community…
Senior Freelance Consultant
Sid Singh
Sid Singh is our Growth Consultant. He joined the team in January 2023 and has 20+ years’ experience working as a growth consultant with SMEs and Startups. Sid brings his entrepreneurial and business acumen to the team and has worked in a wide range of niches and roles.
Sid has worked as a support worker in HMP Wandsworth and HMP The Mount and believes that everyone deserves the right to a second chance and to grow to achieve their highest human potential.

Anna
Anna Fabrikant is a third year Criminology student volunteering for us during her placement year. Aside from”Penal Reform Solutions” and “Grow, Transform, Belong”, she is also working with other charities such as “Circles Southwest” and “DWRM”. She is an enthusiastic and passionate worker who is always ready to help or support in any way possible.

Richard Lewis
Richard has been a loyal companion of GTB. He was here, supporting us since day 1! Our little pig (his nickname) has been supporting and helping to protect the staff, especially our director (Sarah).

Jac Reed
Jac is a senior academic working within the criminology sector for the last 10 years. As a former forensic scene investigator with West Midlands Police, with over a decade of hands-on experience in law enforcement, Jac is deeply committed to promoting social justice and reducing social harm. Her pragmatic approach, focuses on actionable solutions and tangible outcomes, and her strategic vision is informed by her academic background and practical experience, ensuring the organisation’s efforts align with its mission effectively. Through her dedication to transparency, compliance, and governance, she fosters an environment of trust and accountability within the charity through her role as Chair of Trustees.
Advisor
Julie Eden-Barnard
Julie is a Senior Lecturer in Community Justice, primarily working with learners who are training to be Probation Officers. Prior to working in academia she was a Probation Officer and over 13 years of practice has given her a wealth of experience, with a particular expertise in working with women involved with the justice system . Julie has a strong sense of justice which has motivated her to challenge social injustice and seek out opportunities to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable community.
